Nothing earth shaking to say. Hard to comprehend I’ve been doing this for 37 years now. My current wood bus is 45 years old and I’m hoping (praying) it makes it a few more. Some days tougher than others, depending on driving conditions. Still mightily blessed to have work that enriches the lives of children.
I just want to tell you that any time and any money you spend so your child can participate in a real life hands-on activity such as working with wood and hand tools can provide is worth it! The benefits are cumulative and can last a lifetime.
I hope these pages are useful to the parent or teacher who wants to help young children learn how to build. I hold classes in my woodshop classroom (converted bus) at various public and private San Diego schools, I facilitate Scout badge work, birthday parties for children 6-10 and am the vendor for the YMCA “Build It” summer camps.
Children are drawn to the sounds of sawing and hammering and I have been blessed to share this exciting and productive experience with them since 1974.

Kids love tools and banging out wood projects, and this is the perfect medium for them to do so.
Regular classes are held in the San Diego area, birthday parties for 6-10 year olds, scout badge work, home school classes, and summer camps through the YMCA’s of San Diego County, make up the traveling woodshop schedule.
So, let the sawdust roll!
